چکیده
Dental pulp-capping is done to preserve vital teeth when the pulp exposed due caries, trauma or instrumentation. Various materials are used as agents. The introduction of newer requires scientific studies assess their clinical efficacy. study was designed a split-mouth randomized analysis four agents (calcium hydroxide, mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), Biodentine and EndoSequence root repair material (ERRM)). Based on selection criteria, 15 orthodontic patients requiring extraction premolars (60 total) were included in study. After pulp-capping, extracted after 8 weeks. We analyzed using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) histological sections determine quality dentinal bridge pulpal response. Ordinal scores given based completeness bridge, type degree inflammation. Results Kruskal–Wallis test (p < 0.05) with post hoc Conover values being applicable. All elicited formation (60/60). MTA had highest (10/15) followed by ERRM (8/15). Both showed more samples complete bridges (9/15 each) favorable response (15/15). Teeth capped calcium hydroxide cases incomplete (9/15) These differences inflammation statistically significant 0.001 p 0.00005, respectively), tests revealing no between 0.49 0.71, respectively). performed better than other but did not differ significantly from each other. individual preference for may be efficacy handling characteristics.

Comparison of transportation and centering ability using RECIPROC and iRace: A cone-beam computed tomography study
BACKGROUND AND AIM: Root canal treatment, especially in curved and constricted root canals, can be very difficult and time consuming. Several investigations have compared the reciprocating and full sequence motions in terms of shaping ability. The purpose of the present study was to compare the root canal transportation and centering ability of RECIPROC and iRace using cone-beam computed tomogr...

Imaging is a highly dependent technology in the clinical assessment of a patient. With respect to the dental field, imaging has travelled a long way from the conventional radiographs to modern techniques like the computed tomography (CT) and the cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). This article describes the evolution made in the CT in the field of dental imaging and attempts to compare the CT...

OBJECTIVES This research evaluated detail registration in peri-implant bone using two different cone beam computer tomography systems and a digital periapical radiograph. METHODS Three different image acquisition protocols were established for each cone beam computer tomography apparatus, and three clinical situations were simulated in an ex vivo fresh pig mandible: buccal bone defect, peri-i...
